Now the chief priests and the whole council were seeking false testimony against Jesus that they might put him to death, 60 but they found none, though many false witnesses came forward. At last two came forward61 and said, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to rebuild it in three days.’” And the high priest stood up and said, “Have you no answer to make? What is it that these men testify against you?” But Jesus remained silent. And the high priest said to him, “I adjure you by the living God, tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.” Matthew 26: 59-63
The death of Jesus, something that was so horrible to the eye, yet so beautiful how the end turned out. I asked myself why did Jesus let this happen? Even he wanted the cup to pass him, but yet he remained silent…Easter, Ressurection Sunday whatever you want to call it, let’s call it Ressurection Sunday for the biblical purpose of this blog, just passed last Sunday. Why do we call it Good Friday, when it looked like a horrible Friday in the natural.
JUST BECAUSE IT DOESN’T LOOK GOOD, DOESN’T MEAN IT WON’T WORK FOR YOU GOOD.
We easily can be caught up on what it looks like in the natural, we see those late night struggles, we see the low bank accounts, we see the tough times, the depressed moments, the time where anxiety kicks in… but what we don’t see is the future. We don’t see how at the end of this how it works for our good, but yet it always does.
It’s easy during life to want others to support you, believe in your dreams, and ultimately be there for you, but what we fail to realize is that we don’t have to persuade anyone to cosign on the dream God put that in our heart. God told you to start that business, God told you to write that book, God told you to do that YouTube channel, God told you to go to that school, but yet you have to get the approval of people before you do it. You have to post on twitter “What do you guys think about this, or even post anywhere on social media “vote if you’d like for me to do this” when in reality you need to just do it.
GOD IS YOUR COSIGNER, SO FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS.
Defending WHY God called you to do something pauses the assignment God has you on. Now I know why Jesus never spoke on his behalf because speaking on his innocence would have stopped him from getting to the cross. The enemy is trying to lure you into fights to steal your assignment. If the enemy can change your focus, he’ll have access to steer you off course.
DON’T LET DEFENDING YOURSELF BE MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR DESTINY.
You deserve that job, that pay raise, that marriage, that business, and everything your heart desires, don’t allow the enemy, and people steer you off course. Your destiny is tied to you not defending yourself.
“For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.” Romans 8:29
God knew you BEFORE your sin, BEFORE you were born, BEFORE you messed up, and yet he still made you in Christ’s image. Forget what other people are saying, stay true to knowing that God knew you BEFORE. God created your purpose first, and then he created you. You ever wondered why you had a dysfunctional childhood, yet you’re still loving? Or maybe you’ve suffered from a certain trial, but yet you still smile. God works ALL THINGS for your good. God made your purpose PERSONAL to you. God is getting you ready for your purpose, but you have to be so determined on purpose that you won’t have time to defend the naysayers.
